The Challenge: The Crawl Space Below the Main Floor Contained Piping and Ductwork with Deteriorating Asbestos-Containing-Materials (ACM). There was a Concern Over Asbestos Fiber Infiltration into Occupied Areas. Restricted Access Made the Costs for Re-canvassing or Replacement Unaffordable. Teacher and Parental Pressure Necessitated Action. |

Results: Significant Cost Savings were Realized and there was No Disruption of Facilities Operations. The Pipe Wrap and Lagging were Restored to “as New” Appearance Prolonging the Service Life of the Insulation. The Friable Asbestos was Stabilized Using PrepLESS Primer™, Followed with the Long Lasting AsbestoSafe® TopCoat.
